A true friendship that lasts throughout the years is rare indeed, and to be treasured as a priceless gift. I am a senior citizen, and I love the Internet, as it is my path to the outside world and my social life. Deaf since I was a teen, I have found it does not matter here that I can not hear, and I have many cyber-friends.

What this poem means is that when you find a friend that is loyal to you then you should charish that person , because you have so much in common. From my experiance a friend is some one you can trust to talk to if you don't feel comfortable talking to your parents or some and a person to kick it with when you are bored.
